Feng Shui Bagua Design
Feng Shui Bagua pronounced “ba” meaning “eight” and “gua” meaning “area” or “BAGUA”, is an ancient Chinese term and practice that defines and analyzes the energy of your space whether in your home or office.
The Bagua map or chart is divided into eight areas encircling a center area or “tai chi”. These nine zones correspond to nine major areas of your life to include Wealth & Prosperity, Health & Fitness, Career, Skills & Knowledge, Fame & Reputation, Relationship & Love, Family, Children & Creativity, Helpful People & Travel .
Feng Shui Design and the Bagua will help you to understand whatever is going on in your space (good or bad), so that you can quickly adjust your environment and maximize greater health and productivity.
The Bagua suggests that by utilizing these zones into your space, you are able to make positive and energetic changes in your life, bring in more happiness and harmony and ultimately improve the overall quality of your life.
By placing the Bagua map over a floor plan of the space we are designing, we can determine the problem areas that need our immediate attention and ultimately enhance the space using Feng Shui principles.
The Feng Shui Bagua will also help you to recognize “Power Spots”, or the things going on in your life at this moment in time. By incorporating simple things into your design and architecture such as plants, photographs of people you look to for guidance, grey or silver objects, inspirational artwork, and health or fitness pictures, you can bring positive energy into your space, no matter how large or small, office or bedroom.
Feng Shui colors and elements in relation to your Bagua areas include:
Prosperity– Use Purple and wood/water elements
Fame & Reputation— Use Red and fire/water elements
Relationship & Love—Use Pink and earth/fire elements
Family– Use Green, Black and Blue and water elements
Health & Fitness—Use Yellow, Brown and Orange and earth/fire elements
Children & Creativity—Use Yellow and Earth Tones and metal elements
Skills & Knowledge—Use Black and Green and earth elements
Helpful People & Travel—Black & White and metal/water elements
Career—Blue & White and metal elements
